Focus on what matters

At Mountain View Academy, we believe in meeting each child where they are at in their learning, and working with them as individuals to meet their greatest potential. We are student-focused and family-oriented, and provide a safe, encouraging environment for students to thrive.

Our teachers and classes

We currently employ five full-time and two part-time teachers, with hopes of adding more as we continue to grow. Our two head teachers have master’s degrees in education, and 40 years of experience between them. In addition to the core subjects of math, reading, writing, science, and social studies, we also provide a variety of electives for our middle and high school students, including art, boxing, American Sign Language, computer coding, and more. Many of our teachers also have a background in psychology and human development.

What is SEL?

We are a Social-Emotional Learning based school. We believe students need to feel safe and respected in order to learn. This means that we maintain a strict code of conduct, and focus on teaching coping, inter and intrapersonal skills, and life skills.
